The Spoils

The Spoils play 2 sets from 9.30pm

The Spoils formed in Melbourne, Australia towards the end of the 20th century.

Comprising of vocals, guitar, violin, accordion, glockenspiel, drums, bass, piano, organ, musical saw and an Indian drone box, The Spoils combine enchanting fairytales of pursuit, regret & frustration with tales of mystery, murder and the macabre.

They have released three full-length albums (“Hurtsville” – 2001, “Goodnight Victoria” – 2005 & “The Crook, The Cloak & The Maiden” – 2009) in addition to a self-titled European vinyl compilation in 2010 through BEAST RECORDS, France.

The quintet reside in Melbourne but have been busy making pilgrimages to Europe where they have toured Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium & the Netherlands on four occasions.

In Australia, they have most notably performed at the Queenscliff Music Festival, Port Fairy Folk Festival, The Famous Spiegeltent and The Age Writers Festival while their popularity has led them to share the stage with the likes of Bonnie Prince Billy (USA), Catpower (USA), The Church, The Flying Burrito Brothers (USA), The Drones, Rowland S Howard, Mick Harvey (Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds), Tex Perkins, David McComb (The Triffids), Dave Graney, Richard Buckner (USA) & more.
