The Luau Cowboys play 2 sets from 8pm
The Luau Cowboys are a 4 piece combo working exclusively in Melbourne, delivering a mixed bit of early country music, bluegrass, blues, ethnic waltzes, rhumbas, 50's country a la Johnny Cash, the odd Cajun tune, some originals and some genuine Hawaiian slack key tunes done in the island way.
The band use acoustic double bass with Paul Pyle on the doghouse ex Texicali Rose, Johnny O'Keefe, and Moonee Valley Drifters. On vocals, song writing and guitar/mandolin is Tom Forsell, with Brian Fitzgerald from the Perth blues and roots scene on guitars, and Jeff Wright on banjo dobro and vocals.
