Ayleen O'Hanlon / Larissa Tandy play 2 sets from 4.30pm
Ayleen O’Hanlon is an emerging alt-country artist from Melbourne, recognised for her keen songwriting and distinctive voice. Raised on a healthy diet of folk, country and blues while growing up near the small town of Kempsey, New South Wales, Ayleen began writing songs while perched on the back verandah of her family home, guitar in hand.
Ayleen’s songs tell honest stories that transport listeners down the dusty roads of love committed and lost, and speak of nostalgia for the time and place we all yearn – home. Sketched out upon the canvas of guitar and banjo, her voice melds lonesome country with sweet folk. Ayleen features in other local acts The Shotgun Wedding, and Rich Davies and The Devils Union. She is currently preparing to release her debut single, Loverless, in November 2014, with a debut album coming in early 2015.

Larissa Tandy
Larissa Tandy has been named as one of Australia’s top ten emerging songwriters in 2014 (Telstra Road to Discovery). Her instinctive, muscular songwriting and unrestrained performances are fast becoming her hallmarks. Between staking a claim on foreign red carpets as a film composer for hire, and her busy schedule with megaharmony outfit, Strine Singers, Larissa has been hard at work in the studio, making the songs and sounds that set her apart: potent stories, and a surprising, yet effortless blend of Southern Rock, 90s alternative, vintage gospel and country soul.
