ek Tek Ensemble is an anthropological dance band consisting of guitars, trumpet, trombone, violins, percussion, double bass, piano accordion, and the human voice.

They create hybridizations of most of the world’s music incorporating a startling variety of ethnographic and popular genres. The encyclopaedic repertoire of the ensemble is bound by the strict yet simple stipulation of danceability.
