The POH hosts Strathmore Secondary College Big Band Night! From 7pm  FREE

Strathmore Secondary College knock out some serious tunes from their Symphony Orchestra, Concert Band, Classical Guitar Orchestra, numerous instrument specific ensembles and in this case their two Jazz program Big Bands.

The POH has joined forces with Strathmore to give the Big Band musicians a “real life” performance opportunity in a “real life” venue: they provide the awesome music, we provide the hecklers... & extravagant rider...

The M1 and D13 Big Bands are both named after their rehearsal rooms. D13 is 14 musicians from years 8-12 who'll play the first set of jazz and blues classics. 

M1 is 17 musicians who will take care of the next 2 sets with an array of tunes from the swing and post swing eras.
