Makeda is interested in health, bass and creating a utopic future. As a performer, artist and DJ, Makeda is energized through creating sonic dualities: the oddity of hyper masculine 180-bpm jungle and footwork dancefloors, alongside dub, ambient and the new left club sound, all of which inform the atonality and asexuality of her own music. Through sound Makeda aims to question her own role in conveying ideas, as well as those of musicians, activists and conservatives alike. She advocates a movement toward a less toxic world.
