There is something very exciting going on in Melbourne at the moment. There are a number of bands that are forming or playing that have captured pop music in it's most essential form. Sharp and potent riffs burst out of colourful and lively pools of inspiration. Sometimes sweet and sometimes thought provoking but always forward thinking and surprising. PARSNIP and TROPICAL SNAKES posses all the aforementioned qualities. THE TROPES are not bad either.
