Woodland Hunters

This is The Woodland Hunters’ first appearance at The Post Office. They promise to start easy, given it’s a Sunday afternoon, and work up to some snarly, fuzzed up guitar mayhem later in the piece. Jeff Jenkins (RRR, 774) describes them as ‘ragged glory’. Stephen Walker (Skull Cave) reckons their 2015 EP was ‘the cream of the crop of new releases’.  This is a band that’s been around the block one or two times. You won’t hear songs about love’s first bloom, or the pain of a virgin broken heart. But you will get stories of hard won wisdom, interesting life choices and the struggle to, as one of their tunes declares, ‘rise above it’. The ‘Woodies’ will be playing two sets, including new tunes from their soon to be released debut album - Let’s fall Apart (produced by Shane O’Mara).
