Reality Guests and Permits play the Post Office Hotel, each bringing their unique bend of loose indie punk that could fall apart at any moment. Reality Guests were previously Hot Topic, led by Julia Macfarlane of the Twerps. It's often keyboard heavy and has a wry sweetness to it with abounding playful melodies. Permits are new band based around Tristan Davies of The Shifters. The band now has 3 songwriters with Tam (Pop Singles, Girlatones) and Dusty (Dag, Thigh Master) having joined the meld.  Much loved bass player Rob from Chook Race has even started with vocals too. Permits are guitar-driven and have a sound that ranges from brittle to threatening.
