Chook Race released 2 albums, toured the USA twice and had releases on numerous international labels in the late 2000's and early 2010's; much loved for their heart on sleeve, high energy, Triffids inspired, garage rock. The band took a break for a while; Matt opened up Echo Tone Guitar Shop on High Street; Rob started playing with Permits; Caroline moved on to Parsnip. Matt and Rob decided to get the band happening again with a new lineup and album number 3 is now in the works. Tam Matlakowski (Pop Singles, Permits, Girlatones) has taken over on the drums.
