The five members of Annie’s Hill o’ Beans were drawn together by a shared love for the sounds, stories and harmonies of classic American country music. Featuring the fabulous voice of Annie Reeves, and the singular songwriting skills of Howard Friedman, the band evokes this earlier era in a way that is enjoyable, often humorous, and always relevant to contemporary country music audiences. The band’s set includes songs from artists such as Patsy Cline, Patty Loveless, Emmylou Harris, Gillian Welch and Buck Owens, as well as numerous original songs.
A unique feature of Annie’s Hill o’ Beans is a number of duets sung in the style of famous duos such as Tammy Wynette & George Jones, or Loretta Lynn & Conway Twitty. Annie and Howard have been singing together for over twenty years and have crafted a crowd- pleasing musical sound based on honest lyrics, catchy melodies and rich, tasteful harmonies. This potent combination produces sparkling music which has audiences listening to stories they can relate to in their own lives, as well as singing along and dancing the night away.
