Since holding their album launch at the Central Club in October 2022, Poet Street have been working tirelessly on two massive tribute shows, as well as heaps of new original music set to debut next later this year. In a stripped-back setting, Tenor Saxophonist; Maddie Browne and Vocalist; Emma Jury are excited to perform their favorite tunes from the band's usual set in a fresh, new light.

Poet Street is a jazz ensemble of seven, composed entirely of young female artists of the jazz scene, most of whom are recent graduates or third-year students finishing their bachelor's degrees. Their repertoire consists of almost entirely original music, with the aim of this band being to inspire other young female / non-binary artists, and to challenge the gender imbalance in the Melbourne jazz scene.

The group has flourished since their online formation in the lockdowns of 2020, having played at various locations across Melbourne.
