A seasoned 4 piece playing folk, Appalachian and bluegrass tunes, they feature Jane McCracken on vocals and guitar, Kate Connor on fiddle and harmonies, Gus Macmillan on banjo and Keith Urquhart on Double Bass. The band have been playing music in the same pubs since the early 90's, but not always in the same bands, or even the same genres. Now the stars have aligned and these old musical mates have come together to create a band whose whole is greater than the sum of the parts, united by the music of Doc Boggs, Ola Belle Reed, Gillian Welch, The Horseflies and Elizabeth LaPrelle. The intertwining of fiddle and banjo, with haunting vocal harmonies, and lyrics that are both timeless and true, make this band mesmerising and energising in equal parts, like moonshine and mountain dew.
