Join Blake County and the Modern Proletariats for the debut show when they launch their debut ep (Gig Economy, No News Blues, Lost Yacht) Sunday afternoon on the 11th of June. 

Inspired by traditional progressions Blake County and the Modern Proletariats are mostly singing contemporary commentary with the intention to amuse. Blake County and the Modern Proletariats are like a family band by now having played together in indie rock line-ups for some time (eg Jape Squad, Los Dominados), and whilst this is a new string band styled outfit; if one could typify all indie rock as an attempt to reconcile The Velvet Underground with the The Beatles – then that aesthetic is probably still present on Blake County and the Modern Proletariats debut release. 

Blake County and the Modern Proletariats are: Blake Jape, Michael Alonso (Jape Squad, Los Dominados), Helen Cattanach (Los Dominados) and Woody (Jape Squad) with guests.
