Cable Ties // Human Resources

Cable Ties playing their last headline show for 6 months. Buoyed by the unexpectedly positive reaction their 7" single they're heading into the studio to turn their last 12 months of jamming into 12 inches of chooglin punk rock. Jenny will yell a bit. Nick will try to get them to play the same chord for the whole set. Shauna will keep it nailed down. The very last copies of the Same for Me/Walking Out 7" will be available at this show - then that's it. Mostly though they're just excited that one of their favourite rock icons has agreed to do a show with them.

Human Resources is the main line of Tom Lyngcoln's (The Nation Blue, Harmony, Pale Heads) overflow. It's a catchment for stray frequencies and the more elastic properties of Lyngcoln's ever-bleak compositions. Human Resources fills rooms with voice and guitar with notes competing for harmonic air. With his debut album due in early 2017 Human Resources is moving beyond harrowing versions of his other bands songs and into new original and tense spaces.
